Hours: BuildingWeekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed weekends and most holidays. Admission is free.
Tours
  • Free public tours on weekdays every hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sign up at the tour desk in the first-floor rotunda; tours are limited to 35 people.
  • Groups book ahead through Reserve California at (866) 240-4655. Capitol Tour Office: 916-324-0333.
Getting in
  • The Capitol Annex is under construction until fall 2027, so entrances and access may change.
Parking
  • The Capitol has no public parking. Metered street parking is limited; the nearest garage is the City Capitol Garage at 10th and L Streets.
